Putting the “Shelter” into “Shelter-in-Place”

“You cannot shelter in place, when you have no place to shelter in.”

These words have challenged us, especially during this pandemic. Yes, while we are eager for social gatherings to begin opening back up, we think of those who do not even have a home to be taking refuge in during this challenging time.

We are discerning God challenging us to raise $80,000, which will fund the building of 20 homes for 20 families, which will dramatically change the lives of these families during Covid-19 and beyond! If you are wondering if we still need your help? The answer is yes.

When we pray to God, saying: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10) we are not praying for God to do things apart from us, but through us. We are asking for our hands to be given the resources and ability to carry out the Divine initiative!

Our mission statement ends with a call to service: Connecting people with God through authentic relationships to serve communities.” During this time, we have decided to act on three H’s: hunger, health, and homelessness.

One way to connect people with God is through acts of service; providing basic needs that allow for them to live in a healthier environment. Any good that we do, through us and our Kingdom Builders partners, is always in the name of Jesus. We spread His glory and fame through our service to communities locally and globally. It is the way Jesus lived and it is the way He empowers us to live by His Spirit.

Will you consider joining us in changing the lives of real families?
