Local and Global Outreach

At Newbreak Church, outreach is not a program — it's who we are. From serving our neighbors across San Diego to partnering with ministries around the world, we believe the local church exists to demonstrate the love of Jesus in tangible, life-changing ways. Whether it's an everyday act of kindness in our community or a short-term trip to another nation, we are called to carry the hope of Jesus beyond our walls and to the ends of the earth.

Are you interested in outreach?

Whether you're ready to serve your neighbors right here in San Diego, join a short-term trip across the globe, or simply take your first step toward getting involved, there's a place for you in what God is doing through Newbreak Church. Outreach isn't reserved for a select few — it's an invitation for every believer to carry the love of Jesus into the world around them. However God is stirring your heart, we'd love to help you take that next step together.

Local Outreach

We believe the local church is called to demonstrate the love of Jesus to our neighbors. Serving others not only meets practical needs, it also opens the door for people to experience the heart of God in tangible ways. We desire to be a church that reflects Jesus through everyday acts of kindness and meaningful service in our community.

Markus Witherspoon, Campus Pastor

"Our partners help bring the message of Jesus to unreached people and people groups through local outreach, global outreach, and short term outreach trips."

Global Outreach

We believe that Jesus commissioned us to take the Gospel, not just to our own communities and cities, but to every nation and to the ends of the earth. Because of this calling, we partner with global partners and ministries around the world who are sharing the hope of Jesus in their own cultural contexts. We support their work through prayer, financial partnership, and short‑term teams, believing that every person deserves the chance to hear and experience the love of Christ.

Project Compassion Trip

October 19–28, 2026

Project Compassion works hand-in-hand with local churches and missionaries in developing nations. Project Compassion brings medical care to communities with limited or no access to healthcare. Each clinic serves as both a healing center and an opportunity to share Christ’s love, creating lasting positive impact in every community we visit.

Life Groups Support Global Partners

Our outreach partners have dedicated themselves to spreading the gospel in ways and places we are not able to go. They face the same challenges we do, like sickness, raising kids, kids going off to college, and even deaths within their families. All this while having the added challenges of living in dangerous places, raising their support, learning new languages, and living several thousand miles away from their family and friends. The most requested need we hear from them is for prayer and prayer partners. This is where our Life Groups come in. We encourage every Life Group to collaborate with an Outreach Partner by getting to know them, praying for them, and letting them know that we care. Short Term Trips

Newbreak Church participates in short term trips because we believe Jesus calls us to step beyond our walls and bring His love around the world. These trips create space for people to serve others in practical, life‑giving ways while building relationships that reflect the heart of the gospel. They also deepen our own faith as we witness God at work in different cultures and communities. Each trip becomes a reminder that God’s love moves powerfully when we step out in faith together.
