Meet Our Pastors

Hey friends, Isaac here. I’m so thankful you’re considering this journey with us. If you’re new here, my name is Isaac Roberts, and I’m the Campus Pastor of Newbreak Hillcrest. My heart is to see those around me develop a deep, lasting relationship with Jesus. That burden has been with me beginning at a young age as a missionary kid.  In case you’re curious, I’ll give you a little backstory. I’m half Indian, half Chinese, and Malaysian by birth (like an all-in-one Asian buffet!). I spent my childhood moving from country to country in Asia while my parents planted and pastored churches, which gave me a love for spicy food, a zillion languages and God’s heart for all people.

I came to the U.S. from Malaysia to pursue a Masters of Divinity, which I obtained in 2009 from Fuller Theological Seminary. After pastoring nearly 13 years, the door opened to begin a new journey: starting Newbreak Hillcrest. Let me tell you, I couldn’t be more honored. As a pastor, my passion is to help people experience Jesus, and the life of purpose that He has for them. At Newbreak Hillcrest you’ll find a place where strangers become friends, and friends become family.

When I’m not serving in the community, you can find me checking out the local coffee shops with my amazing wife, Kelsey, and our seriously cute daughter, Everly Rose. Stop by and say hello. Pull up a chair. There’s always room for you at the table.
