About Nicci Witherspoon

Nicci has been working in different areas within the field of psychology since 2015. She has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families, adolescents with behavior challenges within the school setting, and working with both adolescents and adults diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, and OCD. Nicci has a master’s degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. And she is currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology, with an emphasis in trauma and forensic work, at Alliant International University, in San Diego, California. Nicci is incredibly passionate about working with adolescents and their families and helping them work toward psychological health, overall well-being, and creating family systems that are deeply empathetic and understanding towards one another. She genuinely loves getting to have challenging conversations with families and helping them understand that everyone plays a unique role in the family unit. She enjoys creating a safe space where families can be vulnerable, grow in love, be silly, and have a ton of fun. Additionally, she is passionate about normalizing mental health challenges, going to therapy, and talking about daily struggles and challenges, within the community as a whole, and especially within the Church. She wants to help create a world where marginalized, rejected, and unloved individuals and communities are given the love, care, and compassion they deserve. Her future goals include working with adolescents in the juvenile justice system and their families, and helping with reintegration, early intervention, and reducing recidivism for this population. She adores babies, toddlers, and young adults, but sassy teenagers are her absolute favorite people to work with.
