Barriers to Forgiveness
“That is unforgivable!” These are words we have either heard from others, or possibly even uttered them ourselves. Being in relationship with other broken humans can lead to being wronged and hurt so badly that we don’t want to forgive them. However, it has been said that when you point something out in another person, you have 3 fingers pointing back at you (visualize what your hand looks like when pointing at something), showing that we are all a work in progress in need of forgiveness.

This series takes us through each of the Beatitudes, using N.T. Wright’s translation of them. As we walk through this eight-week series, we are reminded that each of these are not entrance requirements into the kingdom, but rather states of being that reflect the characteristics of a true disciple. The Beatitudes reveal the paradox of happiness based on a posture of the heart.
